Tuta, Night

Tuta is the night. Black denim and black-ground weaves where the stripe does not fill the cloth but flashes out of it, the way lights read on a dark road. It is the quiet family that is not quiet at all when the light hits.

The colours

A black ground with colour breaking through it: a band of rainbow stripe on the brim of the Potosí, an indigo stripe down the Tacna, and on the Urubamba a diamond weave in sun gold that only makes sense against the dark around it.
