Kids Cap Size Guide
Measure once, around the widest part of the head just above the ears and eyebrows. Our kids caps are one size with a strapback, fitting 50 to 54 cm, which covers most children from about three to ten. Under 50 cm, wait a season. Over 54 cm, the adult cap fits from 55 cm.
How to measure
Use a soft tape or a piece of string. Wrap it around the head where a cap sits: across the forehead just above the eyebrows, above the ears, around the widest point at the back. Keep it snug, not tight. If you are between sizes, go with the larger one; the strap takes up the rest.
Size table
| Age | Head, cm | Head, inch | Our cap |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 2 | 46 to 49 | 18 to 19.3 | Wait a season |
| 3 to 5 | 50 to 52 | 19.7 to 20.5 | Kids |
| 6 to 10 | 52 to 54 | 20.5 to 21.3 | Kids |
| 11 to 13 | 54 to 56 | 21.3 to 22 | Kids or Adult |
| Adult | 55 to 60 | 21.7 to 23.6 | Adult |
Ages are a guide. Head size decides, and children vary by two or three centimetres either way at the same age.
Kids and adult overlap
Our kids cap is one size with a strapback that closes from 50 to 54 cm, which covers most children from about three to ten. The adult cap adjusts from 55 to 60 cm. Between 54 and 56 either works: the kids cap sits lower on the head, the adult cap a little higher and roomier.

Paracas and Iquitos come in both sizes, cut from the same handwoven brim. Callao is kids only and pairs with the navy Cajamarca ball cap. Any two caps ship free. See the matching sets.
